Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Marshall Artz Productionz LLC operates SplitDesk and is the data controller for personal information processed to provide the service. Contact us at lmtkbz@gmail.com. If you follow a producer's split link, the producer also chooses what collaborator information to request and how to use the details after receiving them. Contact that producer about their own handling of your submission.

2. Information we collect and why

• Account and profile: email address, login information, producer legal name, PRO affiliation, IPI/CAE number, publisher and defaults. We use these to authenticate you, provide your profile and pre-fill new tracks.
• Catalog and collaborator intake: track titles, artist names, beat identifiers, registration status and work numbers; collaborator legal and stage names, roles, PRO affiliations, IPIs, publisher details, split percentages and sign-offs. We use these to organize works, present split links, calculate progress, and prepare registration details for you. Producers with a link can view submissions for their tracks.
• Communications: messages sent to our support address and information you include. We use these to answer requests and resolve issues.
• Technical data: device/browser information, IP address, authentication events and service usage or error logs. We use these to operate the site, troubleshoot and protect accounts against misuse.

Please do not enter sensitive information unrelated to managing music registrations. Paddle handles checkout and payment information as Merchant of Record; we do not collect your full payment card number through SplitDesk.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we process account, profile, catalog and collaborator submission data as necessary to provide the requested service or, for a collaborator, to respond to a producer's invitation and submit a split. We rely on legitimate interests for security, troubleshooting and support, and on legal obligations where records must be retained or disclosed. If we introduce optional marketing or non-essential tracking, we will seek consent where required; you may withdraw that consent.

4. Sharing

We share information only as needed: with hosting, authentication, infrastructure and support providers that help operate SplitDesk; with Paddle as Merchant of Record for selling plans, managing subscriptions, payments, taxes and invoices; with the producer whose split link you use; with professional advisers such as legal or accounting advisers; and with authorities if law requires it. A shareable split link reveals limited track and producer information to anyone holding that link, so producers should send links only to intended collaborators.

5. Storage, retention and transfers

We keep account, catalog and collaborator details while needed to provide SplitDesk and handle support requests. After an account is closed or a deletion request is completed, we delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, except where required for legal, tax, dispute or security purposes. Backup copies may take additional time to expire. Providers may process data outside your country; where UK or EEA transfer rules apply, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses as required.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update profile and track details in SplitDesk, and Studio users can download a catalog CSV. Contact lmtkbz@gmail.com to request access, correction, deletion, or other applicable privacy rights. Depending on your location, you may also request restriction, portability or object to certain processing. UK and EEA users can withdraw consent where processing relies on consent and complain to their data-protection authority. We aim to respond to UK/EEA rights requests within one month, subject to permitted extensions. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Collaborators may contact us or the inviting producer regarding their submissions.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit, to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and let us know if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Cookies and similar storage

SplitDesk uses essential browser storage or cookies for sign-in, session continuity and security. Paddle may use cookies or similar technology during checkout or in its billing portal under its own notices. We do not currently use optional marketing cookies in SplitDesk. If optional analytics or marketing cookies are added, we will provide choices where required. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser settings, although blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in.

9. Updates
